Britax is proud to be introducing the most exciting and significant child car seat development since the Duo ISOFIX. Cosy Tot ISOFIX is another first in the UK market and supports Britax’ position as the world’s most innovative and authoritative car seat manufacturer.

Following on from the success of Duo and Duo Plus ISOFIX, the Cosy Tot ISOFIX infant carrier uses the ISOFIX system to provide a rigid connection to the vehicle’s chassis.

Cosy Tot ISOFIX is a Group 0+ seat, suitable from birth to 13kg (birth to approx. 9-12 months), and together with Duo Plus ISOFIX, Britax now has an ISOFIX range that lasts from birth to 18kg (birth to approx. 4 years).

By using a simple push-click installation process ISOFIX minimises the risk of incorrect installation - one of the most common problems with car seats on the road.
Cosy Tot ISOFIX comprises two main parts; the ISOFIX base and the infant carrier.

The ISOFIX base links the infant carrier to the ISOFIX connectors. It features a ‘rebound bar’ and a ‘foot prop’ which help stabilise the seat during a crash.

Once the ISOFIX base is installed, the infant carrier is attached by simply lowering it into place. A green marker appears on the release button to show the user that it has latched correctly. To remove the infant carrier, simply press and hold the release button whilst lifting the infant carrier off the base. The base will now stay installed in the car until it is needed again.

Cosy Tot ISOFIX has been classified as ‘semi-universal’. An application list showing compatible vehicles is supplied with the seat and the Britax website www.britax.co.uk contains a continually updated list.

For vehicles whose ISOFIX connectors are difficult to access, Cosy Tot ISOFIX is supplied with latch guides which help guide the ISOFIX base into place, and also help protect the car interior.

Cosy Tot ISOFIX is a specially adapted version of the Cosy Tot infant carrier. It has interface bars on the underside which allow it to be attached to the ISOFIX base. It can also be installed using a lap and diagonal seat-belt.
